Style Edit: The Steele Ultra Capri

Who else feels like January diagnoses you with the post-holiday blues? The new year motivation kicks in the first week of 2016, but it does not take long before you start to feel the urge to procrastinate and find yourself daydreaming of tropical vacations - or maybe even taking one! But when new styles start arriving at the store, we are reenergized by the inspiration fashion brings to personal style and self-expression. January is the perfect time for a style edit - to make a few style resolutions and add something different to your wardrobe.

Cropped jeans are making their mark and we are loving this new arrival from rag & bone /JEAN! Here are two different takes, from Tina and Dana, on how we would wear them.

Tina -

1. EVELYN branch necklace (in gunmetal) by VELINA  |  2. Military Sage X-Boyfriend Tee by rag & bone  |  3.  Python Kent Hightop by rag & bone

I love the subtle distress on the knee of the Ultra Capri that gives them a little edge. Because they are fitted, throw on a relaxed tee for balance, like the X-Boyfriend tee in sage - this color is definitely on my palette of favorites and I love the pocket detail! Adding a delicate yet unique necklace, like the EVELYN branch necklace in gunmetal, is a great way to compliment the neckline of the tee and tie in the "steele" monochrome color of the denim. Throw on some fun high-tops like these python ones from rag & bone because 1) they are so comfortable and 2) they are awesome. This laid-back daytime look is a great way to try cropped jeans!

Dana -

1. Rhombus Jacket by Giada Forte  |  2. Holly Ankle Boot by rag & bone  |  3.  VALENS Cuff (in silver) by VELINA

Spring is the perfect time for cropped jeans with a little distress. Think you're a little too old to pull it off? Think again - it's all in how you style them. Pair them with a textured blazer like the Rhombus Jacket (which is 50% off at T. right now!) by one of my favorite Italian designers, Giada Forte, layered with the Black Mod Tank by rag & bone, some ankle boots and a simple, structured cuff - your outfit comes together as fashionable yet age-appropriate.
